MS022 - High-order numerical solvers for wave scattering problems

Organized by: O. Bruno (California Institute of Technology, United States), C. Sideris (Stanford University, United States) and T. Yin (Chinese Academy of Sciences, China)
Keywords: Boundary integral equations, FEM, High-Order Methods, PDE
Wave scattering problems in acoustics, elastodynamics, and electromagnetics arise across a broad spectrum of applications, where intricate mathematical challenges and numerical complexities often demand sophisticated methodologies. Substantial research efforts have been devoted to numerical solution strategies by both mathematical and engineering communities. This symposium aims to bring together researchers to exchange ideas and discuss recent advances in the computational modeling and simulation of complex wave scattering problems utilizing high-order schemes.
